Summary: From an agreed statement of facts, the Commission found that Clark County Superior Court Judge John Wulle violated Canons 1, 2(A), and 3(A)(3) of the Code of Judicial Conduct. In July 2006, while attending a conference in Los Angeles in his capacity as Clark County Superior Court Judge, Judge Wulle engaged in discourteous, impatient, and undignified behavior, and used language that reasonably appeared to manifest bias or prejudice. The Commission censured the judge and required that, among other things, he undertake training in judicial ethics; obtain a drug/alcohol evaluation and comply with the recommendations; and attend programs on racial, religious, sexual orientation and diversity training, at his own expense.
